Popped in for lunch on a rainy day mostly because we were tired of walking around and I have to say, one of the best decisions we made! The food was delicious, I recommend the spicy shredded beef it was crispy and just a tad spicy. The steamed pork dumplings were also delicious as was the General Tso's chicken. We split the entrees thinking we probably wouldn't finish it, but we finished everything! They have great lunch specials so will be back! I also want to say the waitstaff were kind and attentive and the main dining area is not visible from the street, so it can fit quite a bit of people.

I enjoyed the sesame oil coated jellyfish. It was the perfect appetizer for a hot day. It was very soft, plump, and juicy. The jellyfish was reminiscent of wood-ear mushrooms, but a bit more juicier. Overall, pretty solid restaurant with quick service.

Good food quality and portions. A little bit cramped especially if you are sitting in the aisle side. The servers understand the instructions provided to them.

Very good Shanghainese food, modern decor, cozy environment, and good service. During our 3-day stay in NY, we ate there three times, tried soupy steamed dumpling, green scallion oil noodles, fried rice, and a few other dishes. All delicious. Not too oily or salty. Highly recommended.

Really good food, well prepared and reasonable for midtown Manhattan. Tang feels a little fancy with its various well decorated dining areas and white table cloths. While I appreciate the effort and the service which was attentive (+), I really enjoyed the food. We ordered soup dumplings with pork, rice cake Shanghai style - I was a fan - though should have asked for chili oil, sesame chicken (not my idea, but well prepared) and delicious bok choy with black mushrooms.

Excellent Shanghainese meal near MOMA. I came here with 2 other adults and 2 kids around lunchtime on a weekend and we were greeted and seated right away. In fact, service was excellent throughout. We ordered 3 dishes which were just right with no leftovers. The Drunk Chicken is a MUST! Typically served cold, the Shaoxing wine flavor of its brine really shined through for an extremely tasty chicken. Then the Shanghai-Style Noodles (customized with tofu) are ANOTHER MUST TRY! The texture and bite of these noods was so satisfying! Then their 8-Jewel Shrimp dish off of their Shanghai Specials menu was chock full of yummy shrimp, tofu, edamame, mushrooms, and more with well-balanced spice. I would order everything again! Let's Tang!!! NOTES/TIPS: **Wheelchair-accessible space and restrooms **Plenty of tables, vast menu. Most entrees come with rice.
